I’M NEW. WHERE DO I START?
Welcome to Onefire! The first thing to do is check out our schedule and figure out when you can take class. Download the Onefire app for iPhone and Android in their respective stores and sign yourself up to take your first class. No better time than now to get started right? We’ll see you soon!
WHAT IF I CAN’T DO EVERYTHING IN THE CLASS? I HAVEN’T WORKED OUT IN A WHILE.
One of the best things about classes at Onefire is that they are low-impact, safe and can be adapted to all fitness levels. We encourage you to do what you can. The only rule is to breathe and have fun! Work at your own pace and come often to build your strength and confidence.
DO YOU HAVE LOCKER ROOMS?
We have women’s and men’s changing rooms with showers and lockers with built in, easy-to-use locks.
DO YOU HAVE CHILDCARE IN THE STUDIO?
No. Unfortunately, we don’t.
DO I NEED TO RESERVE A SPOT FOR CLASS?
No, reserving a spot is not required. However, for Cyclone Cycling, since we have limited availability, we recommend reserving your bike through the Onefire app in order to be guaranteed a ride.
WHY TAKE CLASS IN THE HEAT?
Because it will get you in the best shape of your life! The heat combined with the postures/moves is what makes Onefire classes so special. The room is heated intentionally to warm muscles, which allows you to work deeper in a shorter amount of time, seeing results faster. You have an enhanced ability to sculpt and shape your body with the help of the heat. The heat provides a better cardiovascular workout and helps to burn fat more easily. It’s also an excellent way to improve circulation and promote detoxification.
WHAT IF I CAN’T TAKE THE HEAT?
This is a common concern for our first time students. Coming to class well hydrated will help. The more hydrated you are, the less overwhelming the heat will feel. Frequency of practice will help, too. The more classes you take closer together, the quicker you will acclimate to the hot room. The heat is the quickest thing you’ll get used to, and you’ll even come to crave it!
HOW MUCH WATER SHOULD I DRINK BEFORE CLASS?
Drink plenty of water. You can lose up to three to five pounds of water weight during a class. This is NOT good weight to lose. It is easy to get dehydrated, so make sure you are drinking plenty of water after class and the entire day before you come to class. You are less likely to feel lightheaded or dizzy during class if you’ve had enough to drink in the hours preceding class. How much is enough? This is going to vary on a person by person basis. Typically a good formula is to take your body weight and divide by two. This is how many ounces of water you should consume daily.
IS EVERY CLASS HEATED?
No. Our cycling classes and Yin yoga are not heated.
HOW OFTEN CAN I TAKE CLASS?
Everyday! At Onefire, we believe regular movement of the body is essential for good health and overall wellbeing. We recommend a minimum of 3 times a week in order to see and feel results. The more you come, the better you will feel and the quicker you will create results.
CAN I TAKE CLASS IF I’M PREGNANT?
We have had many pregnant women who are able to take class right up until their due date, but we recommend you check with your doctor before taking class. If you are new to hot classes we recommend staying out of the heated room until after your first trimester and always with your doctor’s consent.
HOW IS CYCLONE CYCLING DIFFERENT THEN THE CYCLING CLASSES OFFERED AT MY GYM?
Cyclone Cycling is a full body indoor cycling workout. We ride to the beat and dance on the bike. The music is our road. Cyclone Cycling is a full body workout as we incorporate upper body exercises into the ride.
DO CYCLING SHOES REALLY MAKE A DIFFERENCE AND IF SO WHAT KIND SHOULD I BUY?
Cycling shoes offer a more secure position in the pedals enabling the cyclist to work much more efficiently. Pedal strokes become more powerful and allow you to target the correct muscle groups. We will provide you with a complimentary rental pair for your first ride. After that, rentals are $3. Eventually, we recommend you purchase your own pair. Either SPD or Look cleats will work with our pedals.
How do I reserve a bike for Cyclone Cycling?
We recommend you reserve by using the free Onefire app although you can also reserve through our website from our Schedule page. Find a cycling class you’d like to attend and click the class time to reserve your spot. Cycling classes open up for reservation 7 days in advance.
How do I cancel a reservation?
Once you’ve reserved your bike you have up to 12 hours prior to the start of class to cancel your reservation without penalty. If you cancel within the 12-hour late cancel window you will be charged $20. You can cancel your reservation through your Onefire app, find the class you’re reserved for and hit “cancel reservation”. You’ll receive an email confirming your cancellation.
What if I’m on the waitlist?
Be prepared to ride! There is a good chance a bike will become available. If you no longer want to ride, please take yourself off the waitlist to avoid being charged a no show fee should you be automatically added to the class.
How will I know if I’ve been added to the class from the waitlist?
When a spot becomes available the next person on the waitlist is automatically added to the class. Provided we have your accurate contact information you should receive a text and email from Onefire letting you know you’ve been added. We recommend you check your app regularly.
Membership & Class Packages
HOW DO I CANCEL MY MEMBERSHIP?
Cancellations require 30 days advance notice and must be in-writing and done in-person. Please come into the studio to complete and submit Onefire’s membership cancellation form.
CAN I SUSPEND MY MEMBERSHIP?
Yes, memberships can be suspended up to four months for a $35 fee. Just talk to one of our crew members and they can help you set up your suspension.
CAN MY PREPAID ANNUAL BE FROZEN DUE TO INJURY, VACATION OR PREGNANCY?
Our policy is that prepaid annual memberships cannot be frozen or suspended, but you may contact the studio manager through email@example.com to see if exceptions can be made..
CAN I TRANSFER MY MEMBERSHIP OR CLASS CARD TO ANOTHER PERSON?
No, we’re sorry but we do not allow membership transfers.
I HAVE A CLASS CARD, CAN I SHARE IT?
No, those classes can only be used by the person who purchased them.
